Tasty Tuesday: Lemonade Cake

Disclaimer: Don't judge this cake by it's cover!

I know this cake isn't pretty, but it's good and easy. BUT I only make it once a year because it's my husband's favorite. So every year on his birthday I pull out this tasty/tart recipe.

What is YOUR favorite kind of cake? Please share your recipes too!

  1. Jason mentioned this, so I thought I'd print it off and try it for him too. He loves my lemon cookies, so I thought I'd share that recipe too.
I got it from a cookbook that is made by home ec. teachers in west.

one box of lemon cake mix (I also like to use devil's food for my chocolate fix)
    one egg
one carton cool whip (12 oz.)
Mix those together until it is well combined. If your cool whip was thawed it is easier to mix, but then you have to chill it for about an hour so you can maninpulate it.
Once it is chilled, scoop by tablespoon into powedered sugar, coat. Place on ungreased cookies sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 min. or until the bottoms are golden. Let them cool slightly before removing to a cooling rack.
