Massive Fisher-Price Recall

I know many of you have heard about the massive Fisher-Price recall by now, but if you haven't I wanted to pass the information along. To sum up the recall, 7 million Fisher-Price tricycles have been recalled, 2.9 million infant toys, and 1 million high chairs.
It's never fun to hear that an item in your house has been recalled, but it's good to know for safety reasons.
Here is a link to Baby's Center story on the massive recall.

Consignment Galore!

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends...if you're looking for good deals you DON'T want to want to miss. It is a HUGE sale right here in NWA and this time it's in Fayetteville. I'm talking about Rhea Lana's.
You can find anything from clothes galore to strollers, cribs, walkers, bassinets, maternity clothes...you name it it's there. BUT you have to be the first to grab it for it to be yours. All these amazing items for INCREDIBLE prices.
I went Monday and found some great maternity items as well has a coupel things for my 2 year old. I also ran into Michelle Duggar there, ha! You never know who you'll run into.

PLUS if you go today...they RESTOCKED last night, so if you've already gone, go again.
Ok, enough with my pitch I just loved it on Monday and wanted the share the deals/good news!

We Lost, but Aren't These Hog Fans Cute

I know, I know we lost to Alabama, but boy was that an exciting game. I've been trying to post these cute fans for a couple days, but have had some issues. Anyway, I thought if you saw some of the Hogs BIGGEST little fans it'd make you smile again.I just LOVE all the different styles out there for little ones.
This stud was decked in hog gear from head to toe!

This sassy princess paired her cute shirt with a fun jean skirt.

Sorry some of the pictures are action shots, but let me tell you it's almost impossible to get them to stand still at this age. Anyway, this future Razorback went with the sporty look.

If you look closely you'll notice this darling polka-dot dress says GO HOGS! And the sweet poka dot dress in the background was perfect for a hog tailgater.

Then of course, there was a player amongst us...sporting his NEW NIKE jersey.

And please take in all this cuteness! Our youngest fan at the little tailgater was only 10 days old, but she was sporting a razorback tutu!

I didn't have time to write a fashion Friday post because we were super busy getting ready for the Mickey Party/Hog tailgater. If you want to know where any of these looks are from just shoot me a note!

Also, if you have pictures of your little Razorback fans shoot me an email and I'll post them later on.

Fall TV

First of all, let me say I think this pregnancy is helping me lose my mind. I totally meant to blog yesterday and COMPLETELY forgot. It wasn't like I had an usually busy day...I just forgot. Oh the joys of "pregnancy brain."

Anyway, is anyone else excited about the kick off of fall shows. I know still haven't premiered but one of my FAVORITES was back on the tube Tuesday. PARENTHOOD. I think I mentioned this show last year, but I love it. It actually makes me want a big family. Ha!
So, what shows are you looking forward to this fall? I'm still waiting on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. I watch other shows, but I'm counting down the days for those. Oh and of course, Modern Family.

Shop Til You Drop...or WIN!

Ok ladies (and gentlemen) it's time to put on your shopping shoes and guess, what you can do it and help out for a good cause.
A co-worker of mine told me about this great experience and I was surprised that I hadn't heard much about it, so I thought I'd let you in the know too.

The shopping event, Blooming Sales, is THIS weekend and it benefits a local organization called Saving Grace.
For a little background information, Saving Grace is a ministry helping young women in transition whether its moving out of a foster home, group care, etc. And that is the organization is in very quick nutshell, SOOOO....

here's where the shopping comes in.
Blooming sales is a shopping competition this Saturday from 10-2 at the Pinnacle Promenade Mall. You can shop in a team of 4, much like golf, but this is SHOPPING. There are prizes for best team costume and team name. Sticking with the golf-like theme, the more you spend the less points, and the team with the least amount of points wins!!!
Ok, if your confused check out the website for more details and what stores are involved. It sounds great to me!

Pucker Up

I've heard this before so I thought it'd be fun to share lip-ology with you on this beautiful Friday. A fun article caught my attention when I logged onto the computer today. Check it out.
Your lips (or at least the print they leave behind) could tell a lot about you as a person.
I was surprised that there was so much information out there about this...if this spikes your interest like it does mine you can also check out Lipsology.com

Meeting Michelle Duggar

Today I had the honor of meeting Michelle Duggar from the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting.
She was the guest speaker at our MOPS meeting and it was a true joy to hear her parenting tips and how to raise kids with great character. As you can see in the background of the next picture the film crew was there so there was a lot of excitement surrounding this event. If you've never seen the show---it's a must see. Many don't agree with the Duggars decisions and beliefs, but you don't have to to enjoy the show. It's exciting and I find myself in awe that they don't go crazy trying to corrall 19 kids each and every day!
I was also thrilled to meet two of their daughters, Jill and Joy Anna, because these two are a couple of my favorties from the show because they are just so REAL and sweet!

Before Mrs. Duggar spoke, five of the girls played some music for us and they are really GOOD!
But again, you don't have to agree with all their decisions, but in my opinion they do have some incredible insight and tips on their website about parenting and raising great kids if you want to check it out.

Another Excuse Not to Lose Weight?

*I apologize for my lack of post Monday. I just returned from an incredible week in Savannah, GA for my sister in laws wedding and I had VERY limited computer access.

Anyway, I saw this study on KARK's facebook page and I thought it was interesting. It basically says that long term weight loss could result in negative healthy results.

My first thought was...REALLY?!?! We're going to release a study that gives people and excuse not to work out and lose weight? But then again, I guess there are several studies out there that "confuse" me.
Of course, the professional quoted in the research said more research is needed to see if the risk out weighs the benefits of losing weight...so next week this study could be mute. :)

Check out the study and tell me what you think!

show HOPE

Hey ya'll!
I don't know if you know about show HOPE or not, but you should definitely check it out. My dear friend, Lindsey, works very closely with this incredible organization to help orphans around the world. It is close to her heart because she and her husband adopted a beautiful girl from Guatemala a couple years ago. There is daughter is actually in the picture above...Eliana is the cutie with the BIG smile and cute boots.
Anyway, show HOPE has the cutest shirts, bags, hats, etc and all of the money made goes towards a great cause. I'm about to order a hat and cute tote bag, but I wanted to share the fun with you.
If you go to Lindsey's blog she has a code for 10% off and you can order here. I hope you enjoy browsing their items and hopefully will make a order.
Happy shopping.

Recession Affecting Birth Rates?!

It might be the stage of life I'm in, but I feel like there are pregnant women everywhere...all around be, BUT a story I read on arkansasmatters.com says the recent money worries may be lowering birth rates.

The story makes sense to me because most want to be financially ready before the new bundle of joy comes, but it also surprises me. Let's face it...no one can never "really" afford a baby no matter what your income. Babies cost a lot, but they make up for it in their cute smiles, giggles, coos, etc.

So what you think? Do you know anyone waiting to expand their family until the economy improves?
